Being told your bloodwork is "normal" while you still feel exhausted, bloated, or stuck is a frustrating place to sit. At Nurtured Health we start from the other end: we treat your symptoms as a sign of a deeper issue, and we work with you to find the root cause. We're the cozy little clinic with a big heart on Lakeshore Road East in Mississauga, and our focus is fertility, women's health, hormones and family care.
Four licensed Naturopathic Doctors work here, alongside a Registered Psychotherapist, a Registered Massage Therapist, a Registered Acupuncturist and a Reiki Master — so if your plan needs more than one approach, you aren't coordinating between four different buildings. Our first philosophy is to do no harm. Naturopathic care is designed to run alongside your family physician and your prescriptions, not instead of them, and we'll tell you plainly when something belongs with your doctor or a specialist.

Plan for 1.5 hours. Before you come in, we email you a link to our new patient intake and consent forms along with instructions on how to prepare — complete them ahead of time, or arrive 15 minutes early to fill them in here. In the visit your Naturopathic Doctor collects a detailed oral health history, completes a complaint-oriented physical exam and urinalysis, recommends diagnostic testing if it will give a clearer picture, and provides an initial treatment plan. If travelling in is difficult, we offer the initial consultation by phone. Your follow-up is usually 4 to 8 weeks later and can take up to an hour.
Yes — and please bring the full list of what you're taking to every appointment. Naturopathic care is designed to be complementary: your family physician manages diagnosis, prescriptions and referrals, and we work alongside that. Our first philosophy is to do no harm, so we need to know about every medication and supplement before anything is recommended, because some botanicals and high-dose nutrients interact with prescription drugs. We're glad to coordinate with your physician, and we'll tell you clearly when a concern belongs with them or with a specialist.
OHIP does not cover naturopathic visits in Ontario, but many of our services are covered under extended personal healthcare benefits — it's worth checking whether your plan requires a referral and whether lab testing is handled separately from the visit. We don't direct-bill third-party insurers; we provide official receipts you can submit for reimbursement. We accept debit, Visa, Mastercard, cash and personal cheques. Fees vary by practitioner and visit length, which is exactly why the discovery call is free: scope us out before you commit. If plans change, please give us 48 hours' notice — cancellations inside 48 hours are charged the full service fee.
